The conquest collection offers a special place in the history of Longines. It was Longines' first collection that was provided as a trademark – in 1954 with the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property. This was a central moment for longines as an organization of models by collecting increased product identification. Since then the name has remained and today refers to two sub -areas. The line of conquest, the brand's all-rounder models. And the conquest of the conquest of vintage-inspired watches who maintain the characteristic design elements, which made the original conquest in the 1950s a great success. This year, Longines drastically expanded the conquest by adding a series of new colors and a new steel bracelet.
In recent years, Longines has drawn his attention to the modern side of the conquest collection and in 2023 she has again directed it as a versatile, half -elegant, half -sport everyday clock. The conquest, on the other hand, is a great example of Longines inspired by Vintage, something in which the brand is pretty good. Despite a beautiful historically relevant design and an undeniable charm, this watch somehow remained in the shadow of many other models in retro style. Recently, however, we have seen the start of the highly appealing conquest cultural heritage central reserve that has attracted this collection to attention. As far as the classic time model is concerned, the options have so far been limited: 38 mm or 40 mm covers, black or silver dials.
This year, the Longines Conquest Heritage is drastically expanding, since 4 references in the past now have 18 models (with the exception of the year of the snake output) up to 18 models. New dial colors and the option for a steel bracelet, which add both the versatility and the selection of equation, are what this article is about. The conquest of the conquest is still available in two different sizes – 38 mm or 40 mm – with the same thickness of 10.80 mm and identical overall design. The polished steel case has a certain elegance and a certain retro charm with its flat bezel, a box-shaped sapphire crystal and short tabs. The back is quite appealing because it is decorated with an engraved and hand-preserved fish motif with an 18k yellow gold medallion (gold models of the past had a constellation instead).
As far as the dial is concerned, everyone is vaulted and thanks to an Sunray in push-based with a circular brushed ring have a two-tone effect. All models in the collection have an elegant no-date display. In addition to the existing black and silver versions, Longines of the collection add new high-developed colors: blue paired with faceted applied rhodium indices/hands and two brave color green and brown-pair with rose golden accents on the hands and markers. The Silver Edition with its yellow gold contrasting elements and the black output with rose gold accents remain unaffected. All colors are available in two sizes.
Inside the case is the caliber L888.5, a movement that is based exclusively on longines and on ETA 2892 architecture. This automatic movement was improved with a silicon compensation spring, a frequency of 3.5 Hz and a longer electricity reserve of 72 hours.
The other important update for the Heritage conquest collection and the new colors is the option of now wearing the watch on an H-Link steel bracelet with polished and brushed surfaces. If you add a touch of sportiness, it is closed by a folding cap with a micro -adaptation system. If you prefer something more elegant, all references can also be worn on a black or brown alligator leather strap with a cultural heritage of inspired steel flair.
Now available from the brand, the Longines Conquest Heritage, regardless of the chosen diameter, receives 3,200 EUR or CHF 2,750 On the belt and 3.350 EUR or CHF 2,850 on steel bracelet. For more information, see Longines.com.
